Timothy Dy, MD

Dr. Timothy C. Dy is an internist and clinical and interventional cardiologist, with over 24 years of healthcare leadership experience. Following his extensive training in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Interventional Cardiology in the United States, Dr. Dy returned to the Philippines, where he has led and pioneered advancements in cardiovascular care, setting new standards for excellence in the field. He is one of the pioneer in Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) and Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) in the country and the first to offer Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair, (TEER) with MitraClip and Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO).

An MD graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Dy later earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Health at the Ateneo Business School. He has spearheaded the design and expansion of interventional cardiology programs across Manila, delivering strategic, sustainable models that elevated cardiovascular care delivery. Bringing a proven track record in healthcare leadership, Dr. Dy will step into the role of Chief Medical and Chief Transformation Officer for Great Valley Medical Center, guiding the next phase of clinical and organizational innovation.

As co-chair of the Institute for Advancing Care Transformation, Dr. Timothy Dy is committed to person-centered care and culture transformation in healthcare. Per Dr. Timothy Dy, this will mean a new experience not just for patients, but for physicians, nurses, and all providers of health services. Under his visionary leadership, i-ACT has already set the foundation that will help ensure Philippine healthcare transformation will not merely be a byline, but a reality.

Lyn Quintos-Alagheband, MD

Dr. Lyn Quintos-Alagheband, is a pediatric critical care physician, educator and quality improvement leader in the United States. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 1990 and moved to the U.S. to train in Pediatrics and Critical Care Medicine. In the U.S., Dr.Quintos-Alagheband served as Associate Director of Pediatric Critical Care for over a decade, later on completing her fellowship in Clinical Quality Leadership with the Greater NY Hospital Association. Continuing to grow her leadership skills, she pursued certification in the Academy for Healthcare Executive Leadership Advancement at Cornell University - School of Business. She earned her Black Belt certification in Lean-Six Sigma (LSS) methodology for Operating Excellence under the Lockheed-Martin program.

Dr. Quintos-Alagheband is a recognized national leader in the U.S. and globally in Robust Process Improvement and Safety science . She has led interprofessional teams on over a decade-long journey towards high reliability and safer care in the US- achieving top tier outcomes and sustained safety improvements, in one of the world’s leading health system. She is a recognized Culture subject matter expert for the Solutions for Patient Safety network in North America and has served as Chair to the New York state sepsis advisory taskforce from inception.

Serving as Chief Quality and Safety Officer in the U.S., Dr.Quintos-Alagheband spoke about her academic, clinical and leadership journey saying, “I see my role and cumulative professional experiences to date as pivotal, to seamlessly connect clinical expertise with operational excellence to drive healthcare transformation and improve culture and patient outcomes”. With this passion paired with her expertise, she aspires to bring her 20+ years of experience in clinical leadership, quality improvement, patient safety and health systems management back home. Working alongside an exceptional team of healthcare leaders in the Philippines, she aims to co-lead the journey to a culture of high reliability and true person-centered care for iACT- driven by a vision to reimagine and transform the nation’s healthcare system for generations to come.
